Shelsweb is the Official Shelbourne Football Club website. The site itself has been developed and maintained completely by a dedicated group of supporters. Without their dedication over the years, this website would never have existed.

The original Shelbourne website team consisted of Liam Ward, Fintan Cassidy and Fionnuala O'Connor. They maintained the site for 9 years, from 1995 - 2003 before Fionnuala left and Liam stepped down as Webmaster of the site.

In late 2003, a new team was assembled which consisted of Gareth Penrose as Webmaster and Fintan Cassidy. Liam Ward kindly continued to provide the hosting of the website. 2004 saw the first re-launch of the website coinciding with Shelbourne's 2004 European campaign, in which we defeated KR Reykjavik and HNK Hajduk Split in the Champions League Qualifying rounds before losing out to Deportivo La Coruna in the final qualifying stage.

The site got a second makeover for the 2005 season and is the one you see today. Since then Gareth and Fintan have continued to expand and improve what is on offer on Shelsweb. The 2006 season has seen the addition of online commentary, a podcast news service, and a vast increase in general output from the site.

We would also like to welcome our new journalist team of Glenn Mason, Cormac Campbell and Patrick Gleeson to the Shelsweb team.

Frank Young has been invaluable helping maintain the large volume of stats on the website for the 2006 season.
