Jim signed for Liam Buckley's Sporting Fingal in February 2008. Jim's experience will be a big plus for SG, starting off as new-boys in the league.
Jim Crawford was released by Shelbourne in December 2007, with the Board of Management offering "a special word of thanks has to be given to Jim Crawford who will not be with us next year either. Jim has been a loyal servant to the club for many years and it is with deep regret that we are unable to offer him a position next season. He stood with us through thick and thin and especially so throughout the turbulent months of October 2006 to March 2007".
Jim Crawford was the first senior player to sign up for the 2007 season.
A talented midfielder, Jim is in his eight season with Shels having signed from Reading on August 1st 2000.
He played his schoolboy football with Rangers FC and signed for Bohs in August 1991. He then moved to Newcastle United and then Reading but was very unlucky with injuries.
Jim made his Shels league debut against Bray Wanderers in August 2000.
