Karl Bermingham: (DOB 06/10/85): Karl , born in Dublin, is a product of the Manchester City youth system. He made his league debut for Lincoln City, where he spent three months on loan from City at the end of the 04-05 season. Starting the following season, he made a number of appearances in first team friendlies for Manchester City but did not play any competitive matches. In Autumn 2005 he was loaned out to Burnley, and was released by Manchester City at the end of the 2005-06 season. He had an unsuccessful trial with Dunfermline Athletic in July 2006 before signing with Newry City in October.
In early 2007, he was invited to join Derry City FC on trial prior being signed by Manager Pat Fenlon on a one year contract. In July 2007, during the transfer window, Berminghan swapped Foyleside for Suirside, when Waterford boss Gareth Cronin swooped to obtain the signature of the out-of-favour Derry player. He was with the ‘Blues’ until signed by Monaghan manager Mick Cooke at the start of the 2009 season.
After a successful two seasons at Gortakeegan, Alan Mathews signed him for Shelbourne in February 2011.
